After the download is complete, run the downloaded file (RecollectorSetup.exe) to install or update Recollector on your computer.

 

Note: If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) to download Recollector, you may get a message saying: The signature of this program is corrupt or invalid. As of January, 2016, Microsoft made a change to the way that Internet Explorer (IE) validates the signatures of downloaded executables. Currently RecollectorSetup.exe is signed using what is referred to as SHA-1 encryption. Internet Explorer now requires downloaded programs to be signed using a stronger encryption method (SHA-2). Until we change our signing certificates to use SHA-2 encryption, please use one of the following methods to work around this issue:

1. Save the download to a file, rather than running it. Ignore the message about the signature being corrupt or invalid. Open Internet Explorer's Download Manager (<Ctrl>-J), right-click on the RecollectorSetup.exe entry and choose Run anyway from the popup menu.
2. Use a browser other than Internet Explorer, such as Firefox or Chrome, to download and run the installation program.
